Morning

Recipe: Stewed Apples

Cooked apples is the perfect way to feed your gut first thing with naturally-occurring prebiotics in the apples and probiotics of the ghee. Sweet digestive spices will kick-start digestion and metabolism.

Plus, it’s so soothing! Think of this as a pre-breakfast snack.

In a small pot, combine ½ c. water and 1 peeled and chopped apple. Bring to a boil and then lower to simmer. Cook until desired consistency. Add a dash of salt. Add dashes of sweet spice and a teaspoon of ghee.

Double the recipe if you want to have it as a snack later.

Ritual: Foot Massage w/Oil

Bedtime

Before bed, give yourself a foot massage with oil. You can also rub a little into your scalp and temples. For a good night’s sleep, my favorite is Banyan Botanicals Sleep Easy Oil. I use it every night myself – and I notice when I don’t! I keep it right at my bedside so I never forget it.

To avoid slipping, put some cozy socks or slippers on while the oil soaks in. No need to rinse off.

Massaging your feet is a wonderful way to relax before bed.

Routine: Early To Bed

After dinner, clean up and prep for tomorrow, get yourself ready for bed. Plan to head to bed early tonight. Read in bed or write in a journal until you feel tired.

Avoid screens if you can.

Heading to bed early with a book and a cup of nighttime tea can be a soothing way to end the day.

Reflection Journal

Take some time to jot down a few thoughts or use the prompts in the journal
