Self-Discovery with Ayurveda

Written by Heather Burkart

My mission is to empower women with a natural, holistic approach to support health so you can be strong, vibrant, and content. My focus is on your whole well being including mental, emotional, and spiritual.
How does one find the best diet for them with all the diet fads out there?

Most women have been chronically misled and confused by our diet culture about what they should eat – or what a healthy diet actually looks like. And, it’s no wonder, there’s so much conflicting information out there: plant vs. animal, low carbs or no carbs, low or high fat, etc. One wonders: what’s right for me?

This leads us to go on an endless search trying one diet after another. But, something isn’t right. We eventually give it up and move on to the next trend. It’s a frustrating, often lonely process.

I’m seeing this problem time and time again in my consultation practice. Women simply don’t know what to eat anymore. They’ve lost their internal compass. They doubt their own intuition.

Ayurveda, the holistic wellness tradition from India, offers a solution to cookie-cutter diets.

Ayurveda teaches that you really don’t have to look farther than yourself.  Your diet is uniquely distinct and it is based on your Ayurvedic constitution. You can finally put a stop to this madness and start getting the nutrition that’s custom-fit to you. No more guessing or wasting precious resources. Using timeless wisdom from Ayurveda.

When I work with a client, one of the first things they do as part of their intake is to complete a comprehensive self-assessment that gives me clues about their Ayurvedic constitution. The result is a Personal Ayurvedic Profile which acts as a baseline or blueprint for optimal health and well-being. It is also a blueprint for one’s diet, nutrition, and lifestyle. And, it’s totally unique to YOU.

What this process becomes is one of self-discovery; a deepening understanding about who you are and what makes you unique. This is the key to understanding a diet and lifestyle that truly nourishes you.

Take the first step towards self-discovery today and take my comprehensive self-assessment here. You’ll be invited to schedule a complimentary phone consultation to review your results and the best path forward for you.

I talk about this process more in-depth in my webinar Discover Your Dosha to Nourish Your Body & Feed Your Soul. Or, if you live in the Milwaukee area you can attend one of my workshops in person. Go to the Events page to learn more.
